Air conditioning in the UAE runs harder than almost anywhere else in the world. Units that would last fifteen years in a temperate climate are worked continuously through six months of extreme heat, and the difference between a system that is maintained and one that is not shows up in both the electricity bill and the repair bill.
AC Repair
Fault diagnosis and repair for split, window, cassette and ducted systems.
Most air conditioning faults fall into a small number of categories: restricted airflow from a blocked filter or coil, low refrigerant caused by a leak somewhere in the circuit, an electrical fault in the capacitor or contactor, or a failing compressor. The first three are inexpensive to put right. The fourth often is not, which is why an honest diagnosis matters more than a fast one.
We trace the actual cause before quoting. If your unit is low on gas, topping it up without finding the leak means you will be calling someone again in three months — refrigerant does not get consumed, so if it has gone, it has escaped somewhere.
Signs you need this
Running but blowing air that is not cold
Cooling much weaker than it used to be
Water dripping from the indoor unit
Ice forming on the pipework or coil
Unusual noise — grinding, rattling or a loud hum
Tripping the breaker when it starts
What the job includes
Full diagnostic inspection
Written quote before any repair begins
Labour and standard consumables
Function test after the repair
Typical time on site: Diagnosis 30–60 minutes. Most repairs completed the same visit.
Scheduled servicing that keeps cooling strong and running costs down.
A serviced air conditioner uses noticeably less electricity than a neglected one, because a dirty filter and a fouled condenser coil both force the system to run longer to reach the same temperature. In a UAE summer that difference is visible on the DEWA or FEWA bill.
Servicing also catches the cheap problems before they become expensive ones. A blocked drain line found during a service costs very little; the same blockage discovered when water has been running into a ceiling for a week costs considerably more.
Signs you need this
It has been more than a year since the last service
Supply and installation of split, ducted and cassette systems, sized properly.
Most air conditioning that underperforms was installed badly rather than manufactured badly. Undersized units run permanently and never dehumidify; oversized ones short-cycle, which wastes energy and leaves the room clammy. Pipe runs that are too long, poorly insulated or badly evacuated cost you capacity from the first day.
We size the unit to the room — its area, glazing, orientation and how it is used — rather than to whatever is on offer. Installation includes proper vacuum evacuation of the lines, which is the step most commonly skipped and the one that quietly shortens compressor life.
What the job includes
Site survey and correct capacity sizing
Supply of the unit, or installation of one you have bought
Copper pipework, insulation, drainage and cabling
Vacuum evacuation and pressure testing
Commissioning and handover
Typical time on site: Standard split system: 3–6 hours. Ducted systems: 1–2 days.
Leak detection and refrigerant recharge — R22, R410A and R32.
Refrigerant is a sealed, closed loop. It is not consumed and it does not wear out, so a system that is low on gas has a leak. Any company willing to simply top you up without looking for it is selling you a repeat visit.
We pressure-test the circuit, locate the leak, repair it, then evacuate and recharge to the manufacturer’s stated weight rather than by guesswork. Overcharging is as damaging as undercharging.
Signs you need this
Cooling gradually weakening over weeks
Ice on the copper pipework or indoor coil
A hissing or bubbling sound from the unit
The system runs continuously without reaching the set temperature
What the job includes
Pressure test and leak detection
Leak repair where accessible
Vacuum evacuation
Recharge to the manufacturer’s specified weight
Post-charge performance check
Typical time on site: 1–3 hours depending on how accessible the leak is.
Full strip-down clean of coils, blower, filters and drainage.
Routine servicing wipes the accessible surfaces. A deep clean takes the indoor unit apart and cleans the evaporator coil and blower wheel properly, which is where the dust and biological growth actually accumulate. This is the work that removes the musty smell a normal service only masks.
It matters most in properties near construction, in older buildings, and anywhere the occupants have allergies or asthma.
Planned maintenance for central plant, AHUs, FCUs and chilled water systems.
Central systems fail differently from split units. Problems tend to appear as uneven cooling between floors or zones, pressure imbalances, or gradually rising energy consumption rather than a single unit stopping outright.
We service air handling units, fan coil units, pumps and chilled water circuits, and can work to a scheduled maintenance calendar for buildings that need documented servicing records.
What the job includes
AHU and FCU inspection and cleaning
Filter replacement across the system
Chilled water circuit and pump checks
Valve, actuator and control verification
Written job sheet after each visit
Typical time on site: Depends on plant size — quoted after a site survey.
